My clients are constantly asking for more light weight summer outerwear options because of San Diego’s tendency for warm days and cold nights. Plus, indoors is ferociously over air conditioned. So, you may leave the house comfortable sans outerwear, but then you enter a building or the sun falls and you are left to shiver. The solution is a jacket or sweater that will keep you warm against the drop in temperature, but be light enough to carry around or stuff into your purse when you are warm. Here you go…

Nordstrom Collection Linen Blend Utility Jacket
This delicious Nordstrom Collection Linen Blend Utility Jacket is very similar to the olive jacket mentioned above in the sense that it works on so many clients and the color works with so many other colors.
Sizing Note: This jacket runs large. A size 4-6 woman will need to order an XS. Also, the belt at the bottom is useless and unflattering. Detach it from the jacket and use it as a fun knot belt with a light grey summer dress.
AG “Robyn” Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is a bit of a go-to for summer outerwear and the AG “Robyn” Denim Jacket is my absolute favorite denim jacket out there right now. It is super soft, has stretch and flexibility, flatters everyone and is that perfect shade of ‘denim’. So many denim jackets out there have that contrast orange threading that speaks of cowboy days gone by. This is far more classic and versatile.

Sizing Note: Runs very large. A size 4-6 woman will wear an XS and I recommend going for the petite sizes as the cardigan in ‘regular’ sizes is too long for most people.
BLANC NYC Faux Leather Jacket
This BLANC NYC Faux Leather Jacket is my favorite faux leather jacket I have ever come across. It is sexy, flattering and pairs well with fitted tops, jeans, and edgy dresses.
