Navy blue sandal wedges — and flat navy blue sandals for that matter— don’t have to be the conservative navy footwear from days of yore. Navy blue sandals and wedges can be fresh, versatile, and more comfortable than a heel. In comfortable flat navy sandals or navy blue wedges, you can attend all of your outdoor events without sinking into the dirt, grass, or whatever terrain your summer agenda includes. Wedges may not be the most on-trend shoe right now, but if you want height in grass, nothing beats a wedge — bar none. For this reason, my clients always request wedges, even when their popularity wanes. Ask and you shall receive my darlings. Below, I have my absolute favorite navy blue sandals and navy blue wedges this summer. (I’ve also included some navy block heels that were just too yummy not to share and also work well in grass and other outdoor terrain.)
How To Wear Navy Blue Sandal Wedges
You can pair navy blue sandal wedges with almost everything: short dresses, maxi skirts, maxi dresses, shorts, capri pants, skinny jeans, straight-leg pants, and slightly flared pants. I recommend not pairing them with blue jeans that are too similar to the color of your navy sandals, and don’t pair them with slacks. The best time to wear navy wedges and sandals is when you are wearing a printed top or blouse with navy in it. The shoes I have selected are all solid navy, so a printed blouse or dress will be more interesting than another solid-colored item. Unless, of course, your bottoms are printed. In that case, a solid navy blouse will go beautifully. And come July, navy blue sandals work wonderfully for cute, simple Fourth of July outfits as you can see in my recent post.
